The property features predominately red soils with areas of silver leaf ironbark on duplex soils. Fertile coolibah flood plains with tea tree clumps inhabit the gully areas. Velpar timber control treatment has been implemented across the property. Grass species include buffel, forest blue grass, black spear grass and kangaroo grass.

Water
Lucknow has a good spread of underground water with 4 bores as well as 2 dams.

House Bore: 1 x bore hole, fitted with a mains power electric submersible, supplying the house and cattle yards. 2 x 3,000 gallon concrete lined steel tanks, through 1.5 inch poly line. Pump installed in 1989, never been touched, am/pm timer and water level probe protection. Good soft water, used in the house for washing and has been used for drinking.

Middle Bore: 2 x bore holes, original hole equipped with a Comet windmill, 2 lengths of 1.5 in. Gal pipe, hole depth 60 ft. approximately delivering water into a 20,000 gallon concreted, open top steel tank + 2 concrete troughs within a fenced water enclosure. Second bore hole, tested at 2,000 gallon/hr when drilled, not equipped.

Back Bore: 2 x bore holes. Original hole has a standing Southern Cross wind mill, not equipped. Hole depth 56 ft. approximately.  A concrete lined, open topped, steel tank stands beside this mill.  Second hole, tested at 600 gallon/hr when drilled, equipped with a Solar/ Mono pump, installed 2017, delivering water 2km to 2 x 5,500 gallon poly tanks through 2 inch poly. Multiple troughs feed off this delivery line.

Lochibar Bore: 1 x bore hole, equipped with a Yanmar Jet pump, delivering water 1.5km to a 20,000 gallon concrete lined, open topped steel tank. Approx. 600 gallon/hr is delivered to this tank. This tank is not used regularly as stock water is delivered from the solar pump storage at the highest elevation on the property. In a wet season water has been seen flowing freely from this bore hole at ground level, unsure of pumping capacity, depth 60 ft. approximately.

Back Dam: 4,000 yard approximately located on a water course that has flowed every year. Equipped with a belt drive Mono pump/ Yanmar diesel, used to supplement the bore water supply.

Cattle Yards
Railway line posts, 2” pipe and cable make up the yards. A  Bud Flow forcing pen and portable panels have been implemented for the covered vet crush assembly. A calf branding facility completes the yards.  Cattle have access to a water trough within the yards.

Fencing
The property is fenced into twelve main paddocks.  Fencing is three and four high tensile barb, split wooden posts with steel posts between.  Many of the gateways are of steel frame construction with swung steel gates. Water points are controlled by enclosures. A laneway system runs the length of the property.

Feed Shed
A steel constructed feed shed consists of 3 x 20 ft. bays, currently one is used for hay, one is used for cotton seed and one is used for equipment storage. A steel molasses tank is positioned to allow for gravity flow of molasses to a feed trailer.

Dwelling
The house is a three bedroom dwelling, timber and fibro construction, on low stumps. Down stairs laundry and back patio area.  1 x 4,000 gallon rain water tank. Several split air conditioner systems cool the house. The garden is watered via the house bore.
